The claim process
After you have made an initial enquiry to SOS Claims Ltd. you will be contacted by one of our team who will guide you and put your mind at rest with the minimum of fuss. All we require is the basic information to enable us to make a statement of claim to our appointed solicitor who will in turn make a claim on your behalf to the faulty party. However, before this is done, various forms will be sent to you which will be explained to you fully and the forms will need to be signed and returned. We at SOS Claims Ltd. will, at all stages thoughout your claim process, help and assist you and give you the personal service that we promise to all our clients in our terms and conditions.
After the appointed solicitor has received the completed forms, they will start by making a claim on your behalf, pointing out why they believe that liability fot the incident is their responsibility. Normally the defending insurers or solicitors will, after a period of time, respond, advising if liability is disputed or accepted. If accepted, the solicitor will agree on proffessionals who will conduct a medical examination which will be used as evidence to support your claim.
The medical report will also highlight other areas in which the injury that you have suffered has affected your life. It will include how it has affected your work and possible financial loss, how it has affected your domestic situation, you personal situation and relationships with your family and friends and many other aspects of your lifestyle.
The solicitor will then give you advice and guidance for the purpose of quantifying the disturbance to your lifestyle, converting it to a justifyable value.
